THE NEW PERFORMANCE DIMENSION FOR YOUR POWER MAC The MACCELERATE!750 Accelerator cards are currently available in three different speed grades: The M!750-250 with either 512K or 1024K fast backside cache represents the entrance to the G3 class at an outstanding price, while the faster models with 275, 300, 375 and 400 MHz and 1024K backside cache deliver highest performance for all demanding applications. The Backside Cache on all MACCELERATE!750 accelerators runs with a (nominal) 2:1 CPU/Cache-clock-ratio. By choosing this configuration and the special powerful design, the M!750 accelerator cards provide a surprisingly attractive price-performance relation. Real-world speed is what counts: With the MACCELERATE!750 you will experience immensive performance increases in all your daily work with your PowerMac. In typical real-life tests of a MACCELERATE!750-300, compared to an identical 200 MHz 604e processor system, operations in Photoshop 4.0 are accelerated to 163% of the original performance, operations in Maxon Cinema 4D are accelerated to 227% of the original performance, and renderings in KPT Bryce 2.0 even to 261% of the original speed - and these are just some examples. Optimized for highest performance and trouble-free operation in all demanding applications The sophisticated high-quality design of the MACCELERATE!750 is optimized for high bus speeds. This speeds up the whole system performance, and especially the graphics performance and memory throughput, in comparison to other G3 cards which run only at lower bus speeds. The reliable and stable operation with 55 MHz bus speed has succesfully been tested in PowerMac versions 7300, 7500, 7600, 8500 and 9500, as well as in Tsumami mainboards.

Table 2: Available bus speed settings of the MACCELERATE!750 accelerators The MACCELERATE!750 accelerators have an on-board switch, which allows to select between different available bus clock speeds, while the CPU/bus clock ratio is automatically adjusted to run within the specs of the CPU, which ensures safe and trouble-free operation, and avoids system failures or crashes due to overclocking. By using this approach, the MACCELERATE!750 let you easily choose the best setting for your particular system, and avoid the hassle of testing numerous more-or-less stable configurations, which may run for a short time, but cause troubles if environment changes slightly.
