Available in three configurations with either 240 MHz speed and 512K backside cache, or with 260 and 300 MHz speed and a 1024K backside cache, these high-end accelerators will increase the CPU performance of Your system to some 250-350% of the original performance with the 240 MHz version, or even 350-450% of the original CPU performance with the 300 MHz version. That means, depending on the APTUS G3 model and the original speed grade of Your computer will run up to four times faster and beyond - a massive performance increase in all applications. No matter if You are using the most demanding applications such as image processing, desktop publishing, 3D design and rendering or similar applications, or any of today's most demanding infotainment products including the newest and hottest 3D games - plug in the APTUS G3 into Your computer, and take off with a system that will really fly!
The APTUS G3 is easily installed in the processor socket of the UMAX Apus or compatible system, after the original processor module has been removed. This procedure is described in the system manual and does usually not require special technical skills. A software utitlity which is provided with the APTUS G3 allows to control the settings of the backside cache, which will be automaticall enabled when the computer is started, to provide the full performance of the powerful G3 processor installed on the APTUS G3.
